Strawberry Heart Waffles

Strawberry Heart-Shaped Waffle Recipe:

Serves 6

Wet Ingredients:

2 eggs

1 3/4 cups milk

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 Tbs honey

1 tsp vanilla extract

Dry ingredients:

2 cups flour

4 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1 tsp sugar

and 1/4 cup chopped strawberries

Directions:

1. Heat a waffle iron.

2. Beat egg in electric mixer. Add wet ingredients and continue mixing on medium speed until combined. Add dry ingredients to mixer to blend on medium speed.

3. Fold in chopped strawberries.

4. Spray waffle iron with nonstick cooking spray or rub iron with butter prior to adding batter. Cook on waffle iron until golden brown. I used a heart-shaped waffle iron from Target, but you could also cut your waffles with scissors to any shape you desire.

5. Serve plain, with maple syrup, whip cream, or with fruit.
